Purple/Aqua Dragonfly, July 2007'.
Mel had the dragonfly design, made up in a sumptuous shot purple/Aqua, Blue/Red, silk.
This gorgeous fabric looked stunning on the day, with the sun shining on it, bringing out all the shot colours of the silk.
It was made up with the fishtail style skirt at the back, with train, allowing for many more dragonflies and tiny crystals to be scattered over the train, and the front of the skirt.
Mel was married in the new forest, in a tiny church where her parents and Grandparents had been married wearing the veil her mother wedding had worn to her wedding, but she had dyed it pink to go with the colours of the dress, keeping it up with tradition and recycling.
'How can I thank you enough for turning me into a true fairy princess! Everyone- including me, was absolutely STUNNED by your dress-you should take this as a huge compliment your skill and imagination. I couldn't have wished for a cooler dress or dress maker- you are truly unique!'- Mel.
