'Peacock Feathers in Red'- August 2009.
Denise was married in August and looked gorgeous in the peacock feathers design, but made up black/red silks, with silver, red black embroidery. Made to match was a silk chiffon wrap, and also some personal embroidery on the back of the corset was a bat. This was inspired by some bats from a Chinese embroidery book that Denise had. A simple tiara was also made to match the gown.
Janice, Just wanted to drop you a quick email before we head of on honeymoon to thank you for everything you did to help make my day perfect! I will miss my trips up to Houghton Regis to see how my dress is progressing and meeting up with you! I know I kept saying it, but you are so talented and clever and such a lovely person to have met. In the cold light of day, you are in the process of running a business, however the personal attention I have experienced makes me feel and believe that it means so much more to you than that. I know Martyn was totally gobsmacked when he saw me for the first time, he said he was so pleased he saw me before we went to the ceremony, as he was so overcome with emotion with seeing me in the dress, that he said he would not have been able to cope if he had only seen me the first time at the Registry Office. I certainly felt like a queen for the day! Everyone has said how wonderful the dress was, even our most stalwart male friends who are only into beer, heavy metal and football! I also want to thank you for coming down to South London to dress me, thank you so much for everything else you did, with such a tight timescale once I had got back from the hairdressers we would have struggled to get everything done. I really wish you well for the future and will watch with interest the website each couple of weeks to see the next creation. If you ever need to borrow the Chinese Embroidery book, just let me know! Thank you once again, Denise Sullivan (Hatton) and Martyn Sullivan xx
