Red Berries and Ivy- August 2012.
Red crushed velvet and gold work....
Miriam, was married in August, at Mount Edgcumbe, Cornwall. She had a design based on the Red Berries Design, a flat fronted 18th century style corset in Red velvet, with bolero jacket. The embroidery was made to compliment her theme, consisting of handmade Ivy, Gold work and beading. the skirt was a full ball gown style in Red silk, swagged up in two places with Red Roses and Ivy leaves and beading, showing the layers of the Gold nets underneath, with the whole outfit lined in Gold silk. Red headdress and wrist cuff were made to compliment the outfit by Uptight.
Miriam's corset embroidery was based round the couples initials, made into a logo by Miriam and Andy. Used for the wedding stationary etc..
Miriam had a red beaded headdress, gold work, Ivy and crystal necklace and wrist cuff made to compliment the outfit.
Attached to the headdress, as an exquisite red lacework veil made by Miriam's Mother.
A headdress was also made for Miriam's daughter, who as we can see, is very shy....
'Janice, Had to grab some sneaky wifi here on our honeymoon to get a quick reply to you - I'll be writing again when we get home, because there's lots I want to tell you (so many people said so many lovely things!) But I wanted to let you know now - I had the best day of my life, and it was made possible by feeling a million trillion dollars - and for me, that is not easy to achieve. It was all because of my fantasy dress! Do you know, more little girls came to dance with me at the reception than ever before in my life, and it made my day to see their eyes lighting up dancing with a 'real fairy princess' (as I heard one little guest call me to another!) Best of all was my soon to be husbands face as I came down those stairs! Little does he know I was hyper ventilating behind the for before I came down! :-) Huge hugs Miriam' Xxxxx
