Rich Orange Crushed Velvet over the Northen Lights...

Caroline was married in the Ice Hotel in Sweden in January. To contrast from the stunning Ice sculptures that were the hotel and all is surroundings, a pale teal silk, hand dyed orange and teal silk and orange crushed velvet was picked out for the design. Which comprised of a fitted crushed velvet orange Victorian style jacket, with removable hood with fur trim, lined in the hand dyed silk. The corset was made from the teal silk, with dyed centre front panel and the skirt was a full length pleated ball gown skirt with long train.The long train was made to bustle up for ease of wear later.

The skirt had a star of David and Menorah embroidery , in honour of the brides family and past.

The jacket had an embroidered bear totem on the back tab, design taken from Caroline's necklace.

The corset had removable sleeves which had embroidered silver totem style Orca whales.

The centre panel was in the dyed silk, the piece picked out as it resembled icebergs in its shapes, with textured dingle dangles and crystals on the seams.
